Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from skillet.
  2. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add cooked linguine to the skillet; toss to coat well with sauce. If needed, adjust consistency with reserved pasta water. Return sliced chicken to the pan; mix gently.
  5. Serve warm garnished with fresh parsley.
