  • For Frosting: 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C) and grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas with lemon juice; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a large bowl.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture alternately with buttermilk until just combined. Fold in the banana mixture gently.
